Yoshihiro Cutlery specializes in handcrafted premium Japanese kitchen knives. With a legacy spanning over 100 years, Yoshihiro has become a trusted name in fine Japanese cutlery, both in Japan and around the world. Since 2008, we've proudly served chefs worldwide from our base in Redondo Beach, California, offering over 600 knife selections through our showroom and online store.


Yoshihiro knives are made by artisans whose techniques date back to 14th-century swordsmiths of medieval Japan. Over the centuries, as demand for swords declined, those same techniques evolved into the knife-making craft we carry on today. Each Yoshihiro knife reflects centuries of dedication to the mastery of fire, iron, and water—resulting in a tool that combines beauty, sharpness, and unmatched performance.
The Japanese tradition of blending heritage and innovation lives on in every Yoshihiro knife. From our traditional Honyaki Series, which echoes the legacy of sword making, to modern steel lines like ZDP-189, our knives combine classic techniques with advanced metallurgy.
